ABOUT US / CSR / NATIONAL MARITIME MUSEUM
At Ince & Co we are proud of our links to the maritime world and its rich and eventful history. One of the ways in which we demonstrate our support is as a corporate member of the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, East London.
Throughout history, ships have benefited from new discoveries in engineering and technology, becoming more sophisticated with every new building launched. And whilst international shipping law has changed with the times, much of it is founded on legal principles and precedents that have developed over hundreds of years.
The National Maritime Museum has the most important holdings in the world on the history of Britain at sea, including maritime art, cartography, manuscripts and official public records as well as ship models and plans, and scientific and navigational instruments, including time keeping and astronomy.
Today the museum attracts over 1.7 million visitors a year. It will be a host venue for the 2012 London Olympics, for which a new custom designed exhibition space is being built.
