Ince & Co wins Seatrade Asia Maritime Law Award

Ince & Co is pleased to have won the Seatrade Asia Maritime Law Award 2009 at the Seatrade Asia Awards 2009. Peter Murray (pictured), senior partner in Shanghai, received the award on behalf of the firm at a ceremony held at the Shangri-La Pudong Hotel in Shanghai on Thursday, 25 June 2009. This is the second year in a row that Ince & Co has won the award, which recognizes our continued commitment to the shipping industry in South East Asia.

These are the pre-eminent awards for the Asian Maritime Industry. The event, which took place on the second day of the annual China Maritime Congress, was attended by key industry players from around the world, as well as senior government officials and representatives from the China Shipowners Association and the China Association of National Shipbuilding Industry.

Ince & Co partner Stephen Askins is speaking at the NATO Conference – Dedicated to Hardening Vessels Against Attacks by Pirates that is being held on the first day of the Transport Conference. The NATO conference provides a unique opportunity to take part in a tactical floor exercise which follows a vessels’ voyage from departure in Rotterdam to the attack point in the Gulf of Aden and will follow the vessel through its journey including the attack, capture and release.
